Media & Creative Collaborations
Do you write a blog, contribute to newspapers or magazines, host a podcast, or make films? We welcome thoughtful proposals from writers, journalists and creative professionals who would like to explore life in the Ecuadorian Amazon and the work of Feather Crown.
Possible topics include traditional ayahuasca practices, Indigenous cultures, life at our center and the protection of the rainforest and the Piatúa River.
Who we welcome
- Journalists, editors and bloggers creating articles, reports and personal accounts for print or online publications.
- Filmmakers, photographers and podcast hosts developing interviews, documentaries, photo essays or educational work.
- Content creators with an engaged audience who communicate thoughtfully and have relevant work to share.
- Communications, PR and website professionals with a practical proposal to help people discover and understand our work.
How we can help
Depending on the project, we can provide background information, arrange an interview with Jan Rostlinka, discuss available photographs and their use, or explore a visit to the center. Conversations with Indigenous healers or community members depend on their interest, availability and consent.
For examples of previous coverage, see Feather Crown in the Media.
Agreeing on a collaboration
We consider one-off projects, longer partnerships and exchanges of professional services. Please share examples of your work and a clear idea of the project, its audience, timing and the support you would need.
Depending on the proposal and our availability, an agreement may include space to create, practical support or a contribution towards a stay. Retreat participation may form part of an agreed exchange, but a complimentary or discounted stay is not automatic. We agree on the scope and any support before a visit.
We respect editorial independence: support is not conditional on a positive article or review. Any agreed support or exchange should be clearly disclosed to your audience.
Respect for people and place
We value accurate, respectful storytelling that reflects the cultural context and avoids sensationalism or promises of a cure. Photography, filming and interviews require prior agreement and the consent of the people involved. Guests’ privacy and the quiet of ceremonies come first.
